I am an American citizen born in Lima, Peru in 1961. I studied Art at the "Escuela Nacional Superior de Bellas Artes del Perú", a very strict and traditional school of Art. I graduated from Art School with several awards and honors. In 1992-93 I moved to Chile and resumed my studies, and spent 11 years there. I studied a bachelor in Aesthetic and Master degree in History and Theory of Art. I also taught for more than 7 years in two Chilean Universities. ( Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile and Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educacion ) At the same time I had more than fifteen Solo Art Shows and more group Art Exhibitions in countries such as: Germany, Spain, Austria, Perú, Chile and the United States.
I moved to the United States in the Fall of 2003, to become an International Artist in Resident at The Griffis Art Center in New London, CT and later in 2005 at I-Park in East Haddam, CT. Since then I teach at Mitchell College in New London-Ct. My husband and I have founded Expressiones Cultural Center in New London, CT in 2009, a non profit organization to promote the understanding between the Anglo and Hispanic communities though the Arts. We run many different Art Programs, all free to the Community. I have volunteered at York Correctional in Niantic-CT for many yeas and keep my Artist’s life very alive and in constant search for new things to explore. I have been back to school to pursue a new Master degree, this time in Visual Arts at SVA, NY. It will be done this Spring 2015.
